The regulations require that all fuel pumps be labeled to inform the user which fuel they are dispensing into their vehicle. These labels will state which engines/vehicles that the specific fuel is suitable for use in. These labels will match comparable labels on 2007 and later highway vehicles. Distributors will likely have tested fuel batches at retail to ensure that the fuel meets the applicable standard that is on its pump label.
